With the launch of 3G, the TSM will be responsible to appoint new IT distributors and DSA / DST. Both of these are new to Idea and will require special skill set. He/she will be running the entire IT distributors and DSA / DST activity. He/she will also play a major role in training them on what is 3G, what are the various 3G plans and services that are offered by Idea. Through these IT distributor channel he/she will ensure that the stock placement and sales happens from the IT peripheral outlets, manufacturers and other IT related outlets. His/her primary responsibility will also be in handholding and managing the DSA / DST channel. Customers like SMEs do not have complete knowledge about the emerging technologies & the benefit they can derive out of these. Dongle, handset) gross additions targets through various channels, primarily IT & IT peripheral outlets and DST / DSA channel Acquisition of new device customers: • Introduce, implement & monitor sales schemes for IT distributors, IT retail channels, DST & DSA. For data cards and other devices. • Appointment of IT distributors as per market potential and CSS norms. • Build strong relationships with IT retailers for long term partnering. • Educate the above channels with regards to the new 3G plans for these devices • Continuous, timely & clear communications to channel on products, services • Ensure dongles & other device Stock is maintained as per norms and market potential. • Plan canopy activities with DSA in SMEs for achieving targets.   Supervision of DSTs : • Ensure that dedicated Device DST are appointed as per Device CSS norms by playing an active role in selection & recruitment of the DST • Ensure that Device DSTs are inducted well into the system and also undergo training program as per plan • Monitor performance of DSTs on daily / weekly / monthly targets • Educate DST on the new tariff plans and updates in the products & services. • Create beat plan & canopy activity planning for the DST Supervision of DSA : • Selection and appointment of dedicated DSA and their FOS for devices. • Ensure that Device DSA & their FOS are inducted well into the system and also undergo training program as per plan. • At any given time maintain a minimum of 5 FOS for every DSA. • Monitor performance of DSA on daily / weekly / monthly targets • Educate DSA & FOS on the new tariff plans and updates in the products & services. • Create beat plan for the FOS. Channel Management / CSS : • IT Channel outlet expansion as per market potential. • Regular IT channel, DSA & SME visits. • Facilitate resolution of issues raised by channel. • Ensure proper handling of the logistics, documentation, and claim settlement processes. • Monitor the DST & DSA FOS numbers and market working as per the CSS norms. • Market working with DST. MIS : • Maintain reports to track the stock level and sales done by the IT distributors and DSA. • Maintain the DST productivity and logistics.. • DST/ DSA wise performance reports to be tracked. • Data card and device sale tracking to be maintained for the entire areas.
